The Physico-chemical effects of Antim crud

Translational value

In a quest to know the actions of highly diluted and agitated (potentized) potencies of Antimonium crudum the study compared the biological actions with measurable physico-chemical effects on solvatochromic dyes.

The effects were seen on visible spectra of the solvatochromic dyes methylene violet (MV), a pyridinium phenolate (ET33), and a dimethylamino naphthalenone (BDN) compared with in-vitro action against Leishmania amazonensis-infected macrophages.

In addition to appreciable changes in different potencies a significant enhancement in the absorbance increase of MV was seen using the supernatant from AC 200cH-treated cells suggesting the amplification of ultra-high dilution effects by biological systems.

The study concluded that there was change in the visible spectra on solvatochromic dyes which further suggests that there is a link between the biological effects of dilutions of Antim crud in-vitro and physico-chemical effects. The high dilutions of Antim crud are sensitive to electric currents and biological systems.
