Translational value

The safety and toxicity studies in fundamental and basic research in homeopathy hold a greater importance because they suggest the maximum dose that can be given for experimentation. In simpler terms we can understand the applicability of homeopathy from quantification point of view – for experiments.

This study suggests that Comphora offinarum in 6C, 30C, and 200C was safe up to a single oral dose of 2000 µl/kg body weight, and further no adverse events were observed for doses greater than 200 µl/kg/day for 28 days.*

In an another study the authors reported that the Ferrum phos, a widely and commonly used homeopathic medicine in 6C, 30C, and 200C were safe and did not cause any toxicity given to Wistar albino rata repeatedly at a dose of 200µL/kg.#
